I wake in the morning and I write.

Sometimes not on paper.

Sometimes only in my mind but often the words flow sooner than the breath.

Or so it seems.

Being conscious of breathing is something that I try to practice every day.

Like writing, I regard being conscious of my miraculous, breathing body as a way to remind myself of the preciousness of life.

With the preciousness of expressing love and kindness and compassion coming a close second.

In truth, as writers, the way that we breathe can be linked to the way that we write.

As can our intentions, our visions, and our dreams.

It is all there to see and to decipher.

To imagine.

To feel.
