Here in the U.K., it’s been a time of transition.

Through the process of my country electing a new government, I've found that my principles and dreams have been brought into focus, and it has been really difficult to find space, mental space.

And, also, it has been all too easy, I've found, to be swept away by the many various important topics, such as the climate crisis and all of the ripple issues that it is creating, and the violations of ‘human rights’ taking place in Gaza.

As a writer, I've yearned to make sense of it all. To unpick how I feel to make a difference. To me, that's the whole point of being a writer.
