I love your concept, Louisa! As I recently just finished my first yoga teacher training, it is nice to receive regular updates and information about yoga philosophy 🙏

Fantastic! Thank-you. And congratulations on the course. Where did you do your training? What path (or sort of path) do you find yourself on?

Thank you so much. I did the training in Varkala, in South India.

I would say I am on the path of Raja Yoga right now. I incorporate Hatha yoga, pranayama and meditation techniques in my morning routine. Did I understand your question right?

Which path are you on right now? It is so interesting to hear about the journey of others.

Well, I know I am a complete mish mash. I came to yoga via mindfulness and meditation, so that is still very much a part of my path, and I teach a hatha-based practice, in a very reflective style… I feel called towards gentler flows and restorative asanas at present. It’s all so interesting. How long have you been practicing?

It really is interesting! I have been practicing yoga since 4-5 years. Recently, I feel a stronger calling towards gentle hatha yoga too, compared to my beginnings, when my focus was more on strong vinyasa flow.

What you describe is something that I hear quite often: the more physical practices can become challenging, for various reasons, and then our practice changes and adapts, leaving us to work with what feels good - in the moment. Since the pandemic, my asana practice has slowed down and become much more gentle.
