I’m new to you and your letters. So glad I found you! I really appreciate your openness, your “we’re in this together” attitude, and yet your willingness to lead the way--A way. Many blessings to you and your Sankalpa for 2024.
Thank you so much! Welcome! It’s wonderful to have you join me/us on this journey - this way of living with yoga as a guide. Allowing (or in my case learning to allow) life to unfold as part of the practice.
Love this. Thank you for sharing and reminding us of the beauty in not only sankalpa, but then connecting it to a mantra. Looking forward to contemplating this more. 😊
Great question. Thank you for asking it. It is my understanding that you can use mantra however you feel to, really. Traditionally, Sanskrit mantras are chanted, but repeating privately, like a meditation, works really well too. Mala beads can also be used for the purpose of keeping the mind focused on repeating the mantra. Just listening is also a perfectly valid way of practicing. Ultimately, if there is a way that feels good, then that will be the right way for you. I find singing along to songs (kirtan) that include mantra to be really enjoyable, as a meditation. I think mantra is a wonderful practice. I hope this helps. Please do ask me anything else for further clarification.

Thank you, Vas. I am enjoying the focus this month, I have to say. 🙏
Loved this! Can I ask - how do you use mantras? Do you meditate with them? x

And if anybody else here has any pointers, feel free to share in this space. We can learn so much from one another.
Love this Louisa What a perfect time to be gently reminded to connect with my San Kalpa ❤️🙏
Thank-you. 🙏 I knew I could do with a reminder, and a whole month of considering sankalpa is just what I need!
Thank you for reading it, Kate. I hope it helps in the days and weeks to come.
